Letter From the Editor

So as I was saying before about fear…you should never let your fear control your life. Are you fearful? Did someone make you think that you can’t accomplish all that you want because you are just not that good? Did that make you fearful? Well I have some advice for all you fearful people out there who think that somehow you don’t have what it takes to accomplish your goals and dreams (this is advice I’m beginning to take myself). First, find the person who makes you fearful (many times it means just finding your nearest mirror), plaster a big smile on your face, raise your arm (it doesn’t matter which one, it could be your writing arm) to the person’s eye level and gently but confidently raise your middle finger, don’t forget to smile. Yes, I know what I just told you to do, but sometimes telling someone, even yourself, to bugger off is the best start to remedy fearfulness. I wish that I would have done that with a couple of people in my life over the years. Many times other people (and yourself) will tell you not to do something out of sheer fear (or jealousy). Don’t let someone tell you, YOU CAN’T when you know, YOU CAN. So the next time someone tries to put fear in you.

Calmly raise your middle finger, smile and say “not today” and in the immortal words of Weezer:

“Imma do the things that I wanna do I ain't got a thing to prove to you”

So keep writing, keep creating, and keep making the world go around.

Sincerely,

Kea

P.S I raise my middle finger to the person (and you know who you are) who made me fearful. Not today, not anymore, not ever dude!
